POSITION SUMMARY
Business success depends on people - talented, motivated, agile people. To ensure this success, the Agency Chief Safety Officer administers a safety and occupational health program structured to deal effectively with a full range of hazards inherent in the construction, maintenance, and operation of a high voltage electric utility system involving approximately 3200 employees with significantly varied occupations and experience in a 300,000 square mile area. This position:
- Directs the design, development and implementation of a broad range of Safety programs to meet agency goals
- Serves as the senior technical advisor on all Safety and Occupational Health processes and procedures
- Partners and collaborates with top agency officials across the organization to assure effective implementation of program goals and objectives
- Ensures compliance with BPA and DOE Safety objectives, OHSA regulations and other applicable federal, state and local requirements

OBJECTIVE OF CONSULTANCY:
The objective of this consultancy is to assist the COSQC in evaluation of requirements for their laboratory accreditation department, including equipment and training. The consultant is to conduct training courses in the field of laboratory accreditation in accordance with internationally recognized standards. The consultant will also assist COSQC in obtaining accreditation by International Accreditation agencies.
SCOPE OF WORK:
In order to accomplish the above objective, the consultant will carry out the following scope of work.
- Evaluate and analyze current status of COSQC’s laboratory accreditation department.
- Conduct an internal audit of COSQC laboratory accreditation in accordance with the international accreditation specifications.
- Consultation and technical support to assist in COSQC laboratories obtain international accreditation including auditing and gap analysis.

- Expert in quality assurance standards and tools;
- Expert in the life cycle of establishing a national standard;

PMI is seeking a seasoned professional who can assist in quality assurance compliance with the ISO and American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) policies and procedures to maintain PMI’s role as Secretariat of ISO/PC 236, its Accreditation as a Standards Developing Organization and designation of selected PMI standards as American National Standards. Assist the Standards Manager in product development, outreach to global standards organizations and effective international partnerships, and facilitate PMI participation on US TAG and/or appropriate ISO Standards Working Groups.
This role will support assigned projects and committees on all core processes related to PMI’s relationship and established goals. Requires volunteer team coordination, content, and communications, and will share responsibility for areas described in the position description. Specialized duties will be allocated to individual Specialist positions as appropriate.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years work experience, preferably in setting(s) involving compliance for services or products, or maintenance of premier products having stringent quality requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Skillful relationship management and service orientation, including demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff, global customers, volunteers, and external organizations with a track record of positive relationships.
- Knowledge or basic understanding of ANSI and/or ISO procedures or standards preferred.
- Design, preparation and documentation of work plans, with ability to see the big picture and report progress accordingly.
- Experience writing, implementing, and/or enforcing association/company policy and procedures.
- Able to understand and apply procedures, maintain files, complete and submit both internal and external reports, and help document and amend procedures
- Knowledge, experience, and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, including weekends and/or holidays to occasionally attend seminars, conferences and/or meetings, primarily relating to ISO or ANSI matters. Knowledge and understanding of budget execution tracking and budget development processes
- Ability to proof read large documents (100-200 pages). Command of the English language and associated rules and styles.
- The ability to travel up to 50%.

Job Description:
The Aerospace Industries Assocation seeks a Project Engineer to report to the Director, Standardization in support of the National Aerospace Standards program. AIA maintains a collection of standards and procurement specifications for components that are used in the aerospace industry.
AIA is updating and modernizing its entire active standards collection to ensure that all standards are current and in an editable, electronic format. The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
- reviewing an electronic version of a standard (in MSWord);
- verifying accuracy of the electronic version with the original version of the standard (including the text and mechanical drawings);
- ensuring that material specification call-outs are current;
- updating or recreating the drawings as needed using AutoCAD LT 2009/2010;
- addressing comments from the National Aerospace Standards Committee (NASC) for corrections before publication of the standard.
The Project Engineer will provide engineering support to the NASC to maintain the NAS collection through a 5-year review process.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering degree (BSME)
- Experience in components / standards / materials engineering preferred
- 2-3 years experience required; additional experience preferred
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external teams
- Capable of creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Proficiency in MSWord and AutoCAD LT
- Familiarity with standards and material specifications
